Ford Blind Spot Information System

Some of the newer Ford vehicles offer a useful tool for drivers called Blind Spot Information System. This feature essentially notifies drivers when there is an object in their path that may not be visible to them. On each side view mirror, there is a light that illuminates. The light comes on when the car is moving, and when an object is in your blind spot -- such as a car passing you on the highway. This feature comes in handy when changing lanes or when overtaking other vehicles on the road. By looking at the mirror and seeing whether or not the light is on can show drivers if it is safe to change lanes. This feature works using a number of sensors on either side of the car. The sensors detect objects that could potentially go unseen by drivers. This handy feature makes changing lanes much easier than before.
