How often do you wonder about what is outside of your line of vision? Most of the time, it's easy to see what's directly in front of you, and you can usually keep an eye on what's going on in your rearview mirror. But it's difficult to see what's in your blind spot. And it's nearly impossible to see vehicles coming from the side when you're pulling out of a tight perpendicular parking spot. But the popular crossover, the Ford Escape, has features that can make seeing in these tough situations easier.

The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) will let you know when a vehicle is in your blind spot by illuminating an icon on your side mirror. It identifies the vehicle using radar, so you know that information is correct.

And the cross-traffic alert can get you out of some tight spots. With radar, it senses when vehicles will be crossing behind your vehicle so that you can avoid them.
